Getting Fired - It Isn't the End of the World
April, 1998
"Do not go to war with your old company. You still need it." - Neal Lenarsky, President, Strategic Transitions
Do not go to war with your old company. Don't become hyperactive when you're searching for a new job. Some people want to do 7,000 things at once, and there isn't a whole lot of rhyme or reason to it. They're flying here, they're flying there; they're meeting with this guy, they're meeting with that guy. But they haven't targeted what they want. Think as if you were marketing a product, and plan a marketing campaign. You don't just take a product and throw it up in the air.
